Right click the executable and run as administrator. Try exiting out Galaxy, if applicable, and starting the game directly from the '.\Divinity II - Developers Cut\bin' folder: Divinity2.exe is the normal mode, while Divinity2-debug.exe has the optional 'Developer Mode' cheat menu. In the graphics options, try setting Distance Rendering to low and enabling time slice shadows. ![]() In the Graphics options, check the 'Show Advanced options' box, then scroll down to the bottom and enable Lockstep Mode (just above the FPS Cap slider), or uncheck the Use Multicore option, to see if that makes a difference. It sounds like you may have already tried most of the usual suggestions, but just in case: Try the 4GB Patch to increase the amount of virtual memory that the game (or any 32 bit application) can access in 64 bit versions of Windows.ĭid lowering the game resolution, or other troubleshooting, affect the severity of the lag? Has anyone else run into this issue and resolved it? Love this game but this bug is infuriating.Blytheandbonnie: Some solutions reference NVIDIA options that no longer even exist About a year ago Nvidia changed the Max Pre-Rendered Frames setting to an 'Ultra-Low Latency Mode' and simplified the options (off, on or ultra). After going back and forth a couple of times, it seems like it is saving the progress in each profile so I think I can play one profile and just have to do a round of load save quit with the other profile to shift the Debug but that feels sketchy and likely to break. It seems after some testing, the the profile with the most recent save has the Debug problem while the other profile is accessible. When I exit and reload the game, the profile with the most recent save cannot be accessed, it just reverts the Debug_Client_Profile while the other profile can be accessed and loaded. ![]() The wonky thing is, I can open one of the profiles, load the game, move my characters, and quicksave the game. I ended up creating a new profile and copying over my saves, so now I have two profiles with the same save point. After trying the fixes I found online, which didn't help, I uninstalled/reinstalled the whole game which fixed the crash on launch problem but not the Debug_Client_Profile problem. Additionally, the game was crashing about 50% of the time upon launch from steam. I force quit the game and reloaded and got the Debug_Client_Profile bug and I couldn't switch off this profile. I tried to boot it up after ~month break and the game bugged and crashed while attempting to load. I have ~100 hours in Divinity Original Sin II DE and it ran on my PC without problem until last night.
